Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Butter 11x7 pan.
  3. Layer half of bread cubes, half of apples, half of brown sugar, half of butter.
  4. Repeat.
  5. Sprinkle water over top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake 15 minutes.
  8. Put under broiler for a couple of minutes to crisp up if desired.
