  • Mix flour, margarine, salt, and vanilla sugar until it forms large crumbs.
  • Place 1/3 of crumbs into the freezer.
  • Press remaining crumbs into the bottom of a 9X13 pan.
  • Peel, core, and slice the apples thinly.
  • Mix sliced apples and cherry pie filling in a large bowl.
  • Pour apples and cherries into the pan.
  • Remove dough from freezer and crumble over apples.
  • Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  • Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.

  1. Unanimous vote from several taste-testers: Tasty but not sweet enough. <br/>Crust mixture has no sugar in it, I would recommend adding some.

I'm a 27 year old mother of one and I LOVE cooking. Unfortunately, my husband and I have become very strict dieters (we've both lost over 50 lbs.!) and don't eat most of the stuff I love to cook - so I plan elaborate parties for all of our friends and make a giant buffet of everything I like to cook!
