"This is a good bread recipe for a bread machine. I obtained and tasted this bread when I took a nutrition class. Directions are for a 1-1/2 lb. loaf. Serve with honey butter!"

 1. The recipe sounds wonderful. Tasty cinnamon, apples etc. I am baking this bread as I write to you. What I have found, is that there is not enough liquid in it. It calls for 1 cup of water, when in all bread making machines, it states 3 ounces of liquid per 1 cup of flour. When my machine started out, it was extremely dry, so I added another 1/4 cup of water. When it is baked, I will get back to you on my findings. Thanks for posting. If it turns out the way it sounds, I will be using it again. I made this recipe again as I said I would....turned out beautifully with the changes I made. I added 1/4cup 8 grain cereal to it as well as the 1/4 more water. Very nice bread. Thanks again for the posting.

 2. Delicious bread, slightly nubby texture. Makes the best toast. Love.

 3. Yummy bread for breakfast.

 4. Absolutely wonderful!! THE best looking/feeling bread dough - consistently - with no worries.

I make the dough in my bread machine on the dough cycle. It always *looks* a bit dry when the cycle first starts off.....just give it time. Every single time I have made this, it eventually works the applesauce in and produces a beautiful dough.

I then form it, put it in a greased loaf pan, let it rise (only takes another 30 min. or so) then bake it at 350 degrees F. for about 30-35 min. With my five kiddos, I could bake this bread once a day and not have leftovers! Great for toast, pb&j's, or just a yummy slice for a snack!

Thank you, THANK YOU, for such an easy, tasty recipe!!

*one change: I used 3/4 c. dry oats (old fashioned) instead of the 3/4 c.granola cereal. I just didn't have any cereal. Not sure how the cereal would change the end product, but the oats works just fine ~ delicious!
