ingredients
- 1 cup steel cut oats
- 2 1⁄2 cups water
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 pinches salt
- 1 apple
- 1⁄2 cup soymilk or 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
- 3 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 pinch nutmeg
directions
- Dice apple and throw everything in rice cooker, stir. Set on PORRIDGE option for rice cooker.

This made a great breakfast this morning. I don't have a rice cooker, so I did it on the stove. I cut my apple in larger chunks, so it wouldn't cook down too much. Added some brown sugar and cream once it was in the bowl. Loved it. Thanks Twee for sharing this lovely version. Made for Spring PAC 2009.
