  • Syrup: Combine the first 4 ingredients and boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add butter.
  • Dough:.
  • Mix dry ingredients and cut in shortening. Gradually add milk,tossing to make a soft dough. Roll out on a floured board to form 12 x 18 inch rectangle.
  • To prepare:.
  • Spread the dough with the apples, cranberries and nuts. Roll up like a jelly roll and cut into 1 inch slices. Place in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Pour hot syrup over all and bake in a 425F oven for 40 minutes.
  • Serve warm.

i live in rural canada. i love to cook, penpalling, hockey,music, and wwe wrestling. also am a avid fishermen as well. my grandmother who was a great cook and baker (she owned and operated a bake shop for years) was my biggest inspiration for me learning to cook and bake.
