2. I love trying new things to do with all the quince I have growing on the side of my house..this recipe is not my fave so far. I think it needs a healthy dose of SUGAR!! Thank God we had vanilla icecream because it was the tartest pie Ive ever eaten and that is after I used 4 different varieties of sweet pie apples and went against the recipe and added a wee bit of brown sugar.!! If your gonna make this adapt with some kind of sweetness or you'll be puckered up like me writing this review!!!

 3. This is a very good recipe! I'm afraid I didn't add the chilli peppers; I can sort of imagine the flavour and sure adding them would add a certain something, but I'm afraid when it came to the crunch I wasn't quite brave enough! I loved the rum and vanilla flavour combination though, and the melted butter added an extra richness. If I manage to get some quinces again I hope I'll get up enough courage to make this as posted :-)

 4. This was the grossest pie I've ever made in my life. Like all I could taste was the pepper. Like green pepper. And it was spicy. And then like gross sweet. Has no spices whatsoever besides vanilla and booze. DO NOT MAKE THIS PIE.

I love cooking and trying different foods, but my favorite cookbooks are now Weight Watchers or low fat/low cal cookbooks as I tend to try and make low fat/low cal recipes. I lost over 90 pounds on Weight Watchers and have maintained for over a year now -- so my cooking/eating habits have changed drastically following my weight loss and to keep it off!
