  • Place the apples in a lightly greased medium slow cooker.
  • In a large bowl gently toss together the bread crumbs, butter, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Evenly spread over the apple slices.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours.
  • Uncover and let stand for 15 minutes before serving warm with scoops of vanilla ice cream.
