  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Spray 9 x 9 pan with Pam.
  3. In large bowl melt butter.
  4. Add brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla and egg. Stir until well mixed.
  5. Blend in flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  6. Add apples and walnut.
  7. Spread mixture evenly in prepared pan.
  8. In small bowl, combin 2 tablespoons white sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon.
  9. Sprinkle mixture evenly over bars.
  10. Cool in pan.
  11. Cut into squares.
