Apple Torte

  • BASE:

  • Cream together butter and sugar; add flour and stir until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into bottom of and one-inch up sides of the 9-inch square springform pan. Spread jam on the bottom crust.
  • FILLING:

  • Mix the filling ingredients until smooth and spread evenly over base.
  • TOPPING:

  • Top apple slices with sugar and cinnamon and arrange gently over filling. Sprinkle slivered almonds over the top. Place.
  • Place springform pan on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 400F oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350F and continue baking for 30 minutes or until apples are tender. Cool, serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Her sweets are fantastics, especially her pound cakes, Yummm <br> <br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
