“These light biscuits dont necessarily taste like applesauce but feel free to add a few finely chopped apples if you like or slather on the butter and a nice apple jelly. Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Sift together the first four ingredients.
  2. Cut in shortening.
  3. Combine the rest of the ingredients except the cheese and add to the dry ingredients.
  4. Mix gently but quickly.
  5. Turn out on a floured surface and knead for a few seconds.
  6. Roll out to 1/2 in ch think.
  7. Cut with 2 inch biscuit cutter.
  8. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. Sprinkle with the cheese.
  10. Bake at 400 for 15 minute.
