Applesauce Cake

"Super easy and good. This is my Grandmother's recipe. It's delicious and goes well with vanilla ice-cream while still warm."

  1. This was really good. However, I think I'd use 3 cups of applesauce next time and I would serve it warm with icecream. It was more of an apple crisp type of recipe instead of a cake but it was very tasty :). Thanks Scott

  2. Best fresh or reheated in toaster oven (it was kind of mushy after a few days). I used chunky applesauce, which gave it a nice texture. I also replaced some of the flour (1/2 cup?) with oatmeal to give it some whole grain.

  3. This recipe was tasty. I agree with Ranikabani that it seems more like an apple crisp than a cake. I added cinnamon and cardamom to the applesauce. Personally, I didn't care for the texture of the applesauce and would prefer using apple chunks next time. Thanks for posting this recipe.
