- 1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and roughly chopped
- 1⁄4 cup fresh basil
- 1⁄4 cup roasted red onion, roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons fat-free mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons fat free cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice, fresh squeezed
- 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic and red chile paste
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
directions
- Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Enjoy with your favorite sandwich.

Interesting addition to a sandwich. I used some roasted garlic and onion jam I had. I think that gave it a sweet flavor, and I will try it with the roasted onion called for in the recipe next time. The sandwiches I used were all veggies - spinach, cucumbers, mushrooms, tomatoes, avocado. It was a nice summertime meal that we enjoyed. Thanks for sharing!
