  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cut asparagus in pieces.
  • Cook until tender and place in greased 1 1/2-2 qt baking dish.
  • Saute mushrooms in butter.
  • Combine all ingredients except crumbs and pour over asparagus.
  • Sprinkle with crumbs.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.

  1. Love this dish. Made it exactly as written using Wildflour's recipe #228718 as the white sauce and asparagus fresh from my garden. Served it with white rice, although I think it would be delicious served with toast points, as well. Thanks, Bev! Made for 123 Hit Wonders.
     
  2. This was AWESOME side with a ribeye. I made it lower fat with Promise margarine, and skim milk. Took some work but got the sauce thickened....
