  1. I'm an italian who couldn't get my grandmother's meatballs just right -- this is it!!!

  2. I was so excited to try these because the recipe sounded great. But the salt was insane. It ruined not only the meatballs, but the sauce. I will try without the salt next weekend and let you know. Unfortunately, it ruined my Sunday dinner and I had to run and buy jarred sauce.

  3. These might be OK meatballs, if less than 2 cups of Romano cheese was used as I found it to be over bearing, I also reduced the amount of sea salt. Cooked in Recipe #313788. Made for *Fall 2008 PAC*

  4. These meatballs were great! My husband wants them every week now. I may not have had enough sauce, though, because it got a little thick over the six hours (didn't need to do eight). I'll add more sauce next time. And there's definitely a next time.

  5. I am so sad I just used the portions calculator to increase this to 30-40 servings cooked them all night and the salt factor is unbearable. This is an amazing recipe but dont trust the salt ratio the calculator changes to and make sure that bread crumbs have no salt (ie Italian bread crumbs). Going to make 2nd batch for big party today!! These are awesome!!!! Ok made second batch NO SALT at all and they were delightful!!! I know that you usually need a little salt but found that the marinara had Plenty, these ae incredible cook them!!! I also replaces the veal with 93%fat free turkey for a lower fat recipe yummmmmmmm
