"Don't mock it till ya try it! I love this pudding and so does my family (including a toddler!). Adjust the cocoa powder and sugar to your liking. I add chopped hazelnuts to the top of mine."

  1. Loved this pudding! If you're in to avocados and or have ever tried avocado flavored ice cream or gelatto this is for you! Although I used almond milk instead of regular milk and decided to try almond extract instead of vanilla. And my banana was way over ripe... Too ripe to use for anything else (I saw a comment earlier about the banana being not ripe enough) and It turned out great! can't wait to make it again :)

  2. I actually really liked this as well! After making it as directed, I did add an extra tbs of cocoa powder (I used a high quality dark cocoa) and 2 tsps sugar, which made the taste a bit smoother. However, my banana wasn't as overly ripe as it could have been, which would have compensated for the extra sweetness. Once he got past the idea of a sweet avocado dish, my husband really enjoyed this as well. I think we'll be trying this again in the future! (Reviewed for Fall 2009 PAC)

  3. I'm guessing that the outcome varies wildly on this one. Avocados come in different sizes and with different flavors, for one thing. My pudding didn't end up looking nearly as brown or lumpy as Luschka's. It was a pale brownish green with a gorgeous, velvety consistency. But I gotta say that the taste was not so hot. I even used cream instead of milk (less than 1/2 a cup) but that didn't help much. I don't know where it comes from, but there's a bitter aftertaste that just doesn't belong in pudding. I did it in my food processor, and it was easy and easy to clean up after. And I applaud the concept, but I just can't get enthusiastic about the flavor.

  4. This had a really unusual flavour, and although it was nice, it looked more like a chocolate pudding than it was. I found this quite deceptive. I tried it because it was interesting, but I'm afraid it isn't one of my favourites. That said, I'm sure others might enjoy it more, but for me, if I made it again I'd probably leave out the cocoa powder, and make it LOOK more like an avocado pudding. 5. Yummy. Followed all the instructions except I used frozen banana since that was all I have. I think it helped to quicken the chilling time. Arigatoo. Schin
