Avocado Wedges

"These are delicious and easy to make, for one or for many! Very easy to put together, there are very few ingredients. You can also create some heat by adding a few crushed red pepper flakes in with the avocado mix."

 1. Made this to go along with recipe#212388#212388 and I followed the instructions completely except for cutting it in half. It was a great hit! Definately something I would make again especially as an appetizer or a snack. Made for Zaar Alphabet Chef tag game.

 2. Delicious! Even with having to use different ingredients based on what I had. I used whole wheat tortillas, about a cup of mozzarella cheese and the rest was Mexican blend cheese. Threw in the whole, drained small can of green chiles. Used 2 tsp onion powder instead of diced onions, 1/2 tsp garlic powder (we love garlic), and cooked it in grapeseed oil. Plus added some crushed red pepper. LOOOVE it!

 3. Oh, delicious! I made half a recipe and probably made a few changes to the proportions of the ingredients based on what I had on hand: fried 5 slices of bacon (didn't measure them after chopping), used 1/2 cup of shredded emmental cheese (all I had!), and one small clove of garlic instead of garlic powder. Do mince the onion quite finely as it doesn't have time to cook and soften! I had these for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed them! Thank you for sharing, I will definitely make these again!

 4. We liked these, but didn't love them. I discovered I prefer avocado in its uncooked state, so maybe use this as a dip for chips? I ended up adding the whole 4 ounce can of chillies, but you couldn't really taste them.

 5. Nice lunch!

Thanks to Best of 2011 Cookbook Official Game I picked this recipe to try.

I found this recipe interesting and very easy to make in to time at all. I also like this recipe because I had every thing on hand.

I would like to welcome you to my recipes. I have been with Food.com since 10/05. My beloved husband, Tom, passed away 3 years ago. My world stopped. It's taken me all this time to find my way back to life without him. I have been so blessed to have found my second, once in a lifetime. I've met an amazing man who is so good to me. We moved from Las Vegas, Nevada to Bullhead City, Az. in February, and we love it here. I have worked at Bally's and Paris hotel.casinos, in Las Vegas. I have seen some very famous entertainers, including Liza Minnelli, Penn and Teller, Ray Liotta, Dr. J (Julius Erving), Frank Sinatra and his wife Barbara Marx. and many, many more. Cooking is my passion, and I am slowly, but surely beginning to venture into the world of baking. To me, cooking is so much easier because baking is so much more exact. I love to make Italian and Mexican food the best, followed by Chinese and last, but by far the least, good old American food! How can you beat chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy?? I love to find several recipes and put my own spin on them and create a new recipe.
