  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Combine the flour, salt and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Drop by 2" cookie scoop onto ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake at 350° for 10-11 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from pans to cool on wire racks.
