  1. brown the beef and drain.
  2. saute onion until tender.
  3. add beef to onion.
  4. add all seasonings, mix well.
  5. add tomato sauce, water, chili beans, and tomatoes, mix well.
  6. bring to a boil, stirring often.
  7. reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes (or until meat is tender), stirring occasionally
  8. Enjoy! optional- top with shredded cheese and/or sour cream.
