Baby Strawberry-Banana-Pineapple Soup

"This comes from the American Baby Magazine March 2011 issue and is recommended for 10+ months and up. My baby is just beginning to eat rice cereal and I can't wait to try this one but want to give him a little more time first. In the meantime, I'm posting this here for safekeeping. I think it will be a great addition to my other baby recipes. I think I may even like this one myself!"

directions

  • Remove strawberry stems and then wash the berries. Slice each banana into 4 to 6 pieces. Cut the pineapple into berry-size chunks.
  • Put everything into a 4-quart pot and cook, covered, on high or about 6 minutes, stirring once. Carefully pour the mixture from the pot into a strainer with a bowl underneath to save the juice.
  • Pour the cooked fruit into a blender. Puree until smooth using 1/4 to 1/2 cup juice to adjust consistency.
  • Pour into two ice cube trays and cool. Wrap, freeze, and defrost cubes as needed.
