Bacardi Rum Cake

ingredients
- 3⁄4 cup walnuts (Chopped)
- 1 (18 1/2 ounce) package yellow cake mix (Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines)
- 1 (3 3/4 ounce) package Jello Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
- 4 eggs
- 1⁄2 cup cold water
- 1⁄2 cup Wesson Oil
- 1⁄2 cup rum (Bacardi Dark Rum)

Glaze
- 1⁄4 lb butter
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1⁄2 cup rum (Bacardi Dark Rum)
directions
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Cake:.
- Grease heavily & flower 10" tube or 12 cup bundt pan.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts over the bottom of pan.
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Pour batter over nuts.
- Bake for 1 hour.
- Cool.
- Invert on serving plate.
- Poke holes in top & side of cake with toothpick allowing cake to absorb glaze.
- Glaze:.
- Melt butter in sauce pan.
- Stir in water & sugar.
- Boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in Rum.

This is exactly the receive I use to make while I was living in Canada. Its a can't go wrong cake. Great for any occacion, I usually liked to serve it with fresh beaten cream , everone loved it. How ever I have not made it ever since I move back home (Portugal) I cant find some of the ingedients. THIS receipe sure brings back wonderful memorries. thanks for posting.
