Bacon & Caramelized-Onion Asparagus

  • 3 slices center-cut bacon
  • 1 12 lbs fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 12 cup onion, chopped
  • 12 cup light ranch dressing

directions

  • Cook bacon in nonstick skillet 3-5 minutes or until crisp, turning frequently.
  • Drain bacon on paper towels.
  • Discard drippings from skillet; do not wash skillet.
  • Place asparagus in microwaveable casserole or 10x4-inch dish.
  • Add water.
  • Microwave on high 4-5 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender.
  • Meanwhile, add onions to skillet; cook and stir 5 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  • Stir in dressing.
  • Drain asparagus; top with sauce and crumbled bacon.

  5. I used cooked bacon I had in the freezer. So when I cooked the onion, I used a little bit of butter. I cooked the asparagus in my steamer machine. And I had to use less than 1/2 cup of ranch dressing cause my jar was almost empty :( But I had enough. It's very good, so tasty. Thanks Lainey. Made for Newest Zaar Tag
