Bacon & Caramelized-Onion Asparagus

- 3 slices center-cut bacon
- 1 1⁄2 lbs fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1⁄2 cup onion, chopped
- 1⁄2 cup light ranch dressing
directions
- Cook bacon in nonstick skillet 3-5 minutes or until crisp, turning frequently.
- Drain bacon on paper towels.
- Discard drippings from skillet; do not wash skillet.
- Place asparagus in microwaveable casserole or 10x4-inch dish.
- Add water.
- Microwave on high 4-5 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender.
- Meanwhile, add onions to skillet; cook and stir 5 minutes or until crisp-tender.
- Stir in dressing.
- Drain asparagus; top with sauce and crumbled bacon.

I used cooked bacon I had in the freezer. So when I cooked the onion, I used a little bit of butter. I cooked the asparagus in my steamer machine. And I had to use less than 1/2 cup of ranch dressing cause my jar was almost empty :( But I had enough. It's very good, so tasty. Thanks Lainey. Made for Newest Zaar Tag
