- 10 slices bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 2 lbs ground chuck (can use ground turkey)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 (32 ounce) box low sodium chicken broth
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can petite diced tomatoes
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cheddar cheese soup
- 1⁄4 cup dill pickle relish
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

directions
- In a large Dutch oven, cook bacon until crisp; remove from pan, and drain on paper towels.
- Add ground chuck, onion, and garlic; cook for 6 to 8 minutes, or until beef is browned and crumbly. Drain well.
- Add chicken broth, tomatoes, soup, relish, bacon and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, or until soup is heated through. Garnish with french-fried onions if desired.

This was really good. I had to do a lot of searching to find one without celery, carrots and potatoes and I am glad I found this! I did add more bacon and cheese, I used beef broth instead of chicken and did not add the pickle relish. However I do not think that changed it enough to not be like the original. Thank you for posting a great recipe.
