  1. We loved this so much, I made this a while back and the kids and me loved it, then I managed to lose the recipe(?) and made one very similar, we were not impressed and i couldn't think what was missing.....the oregano!!! It makes all the difference from bland to very very tasty.<br/>Thank you for posting (I know have it printed out and stashed in my cookbook so it wont go missing again)

  2. My Pasta Fanatic Husband cooked this one himself, and as with all pasta recipes in this house, rated it as all. I need to warn you that he rates severely. I made him a kind-of-similar recipe recently and that went down well, sadly this one did not make quite such a good impression. He says to please mention that the instructions were frustating for him to follow,(being a far less experinced cook than I am) he personally felt it would have been more helpful to have the instructions start with " chop and fry the bacon..."as he was so immersed in the instructions that he got a little confused where the bacon went to, and when to add it, as it wan't mentioned in the instructions at all. Please see my rating system: 3 stars for a recipe that DH enjoyed trying out, but which somehow was missing something in taste, his verdict was it's ok-ish but nothing special: I DO need to add though that when I took the photo that the egg was quite obviously cooked in texture, when I make recipes similar to this, where raw beaten egg is added in the last stages, I add the egg off the heat and somehow it always just kind of "dissapears" into the rest of the pasta mixture.. his obviously didn't and maybe that affected that taste and his perception of it? Thanks for posting the recipe, I hope that someone who is less demanding about their pasta will also give it a go and rate it, becuase as I mentioned, DH pulls no punches when it comes to rating pasta recipes. Some recipes get more bruised by his ratings than others .. Thanks:)

We have a "blended" family. This is the second marriage for both of us. I have 2 boys from the previous marraige and he has 3. Here's a picture of Jer(21 & shorter),Brandon(18,my 2), and my mom. I couldn't find a picture of the other 3 while smiling (they hide when I bring out the camera). I also work full time. Always looking for great/easy recipes. We have 3 cats, Susie, Dave and Ziggy. Chuck and Harry are the newest arrivals, puppy's. I forgot how much work they are. We love to go camping but never have the time. I also love to read but again, not enough time.
