  • Slice bagels in half and then cut into 1cm slices.
  • Deep fry til brown and crunchy, remove to paper towels.
  • sprinkle with salt and chili powder on both sides and serve.

  1. These were quite the tasty treat. I used pumpernickel bagels. My one complaint is the difficulty of slicing them thin enough to be the right crispiness. The chili powder was a great addition.
     
  2. Sounds like a great way to use bagels, and cheaper than buying store-bought bagel chips. Hope to try these, but I'll prob experiment with baking them, brushed lightly with oil to cut down on the fat. Thanks for the easy idea djmastermum! :)
