  • Mix ground beef, salt pepper, oatmeal, and milk together.
  • Form into balls.
  • Place in and oven-safe pan.
  • In a bowl, mix water ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, and sugar.
  • Pour sauce evenly over meatballs.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.

  1. These are pretty good meatballs. I liked that I could just put them in the pan raw without pre-browning them. Pre-browning them might make the texture a little nicer, but they turned out fine without. The meat mixture was very wet and sticky, so next time I might not add quite as much milk. Also the sauce was very runny, so I added in some cornstarch so it would thicken up during cooking. Added a few drops of liquid smoke to give it a bit of a hickory flavor as well. I doubled the recipe and used half extra lean ground beef and half ground turkey. Served it over rice. Will be making this again.
