  • Soak beans overnight.
  • Drain beans and rinse.
  • I fry the bacon first to get rid of extra fat, but isn't necessary.
  • Put all ingredients into large covered roaster with enough water to cover ingredients.
  • Watch liquid during baking.
  • Bake 4 to 5 hrs at 325 or until done.
