ingredients
- 1 (20 ounce) can pork and beans
- 3 slices bacon
- 3 tablespoons chopped onions
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon catsup
directions
- Brown bacon and onion.
- Place beans in casserole dish with other ingredients.
- Add bacon and onions.
- Bake 25 min in 300 oven.

I made the recipe exactly as written. They were sweet, tangy and full of smoke flavor from the bacon. After 25 minutes mine weren't as thick as I wanted, (personal preference), so I baked for an additional 25 minutes. For the poster who didn't even try this recipe, maybe you should before posting your own recipe and comments.

I didn't use your recipe. I wanted some baked beans but all I had was pork&beans so I messed around with some ingredients and it is literally the BEST baked beans I've ever had! I used a can of pork & beans , dark brown sugar, honey and onions. I let it boil with lid off to reduce the liquid. Once it's been reduced by 1/3 I let it simmer for about 40 minutes. Delicious!
