  1. I made the recipe exactly as written. They were sweet, tangy and full of smoke flavor from the bacon. After 25 minutes mine weren't as thick as I wanted, (personal preference), so I baked for an additional 25 minutes. For the poster who didn't even try this recipe, maybe you should before posting your own recipe and comments.

  3. These were yummy beans. Very simple and good. Like one other reviewer I did add a little bit of liquid smoke to get that smoky taste. Thanks for sharing.
     
  4. I didn't use your recipe. I wanted some baked beans but all I had was pork&beans so I messed around with some ingredients and it is literally the BEST baked beans I've ever had! I used a can of pork & beans , dark brown sugar, honey and onions. I let it boil with lid off to reduce the liquid. Once it's been reduced by 1/3 I let it simmer for about 40 minutes. Delicious!
