  1. I've made this recipe about 20 times now. Ive modified the ingredients slightly and use it for a whole cut up chicken instead of just drum sticks. Instead of the tomato sauce I use ketchup and chili powder instead of the chili sauce. I cook it in a 420 degree oven for about 70 minutes. Amazing, delicious and you will want do to it again.

  2. Great BBQ type of chicken. I made 1/2 of the recipe and also used ketchup in place of the tomato sauce and used a paste of fresh ginger in a tube, but otherwise followed as written using chicken wings. After the baking time, I turned on the broiler for a min or two to add a little more color/browning. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for Holiday Tag Game.

  3. Perfect, tasty, and full of flavor these drumsticks are! I followed this exactly and these were just so tasty, I kept a extra drumstick for myself tomorrow! Adored the ginger, it was an undercurrent and very receptive to the rest of the ingredients. Just try this, and you will be going, "Yum, yum, yum...all the way to the barn!! Made for your win, "Diabetic Forum" April 2010

  4. Very tasty. The only thing I changed was to sub the Worcestershire sauce (did not have any) for Ketjap Manis. The drumsticks were good hot as well as cold. Easy to make. Yes, a good recipe. Thanks for posting.

  2. Very good tasting chicken! I used dried ginger and garlic, ketchup instead of tomato sauce and cut the recipe down in half since I only had 4 drummies. Made for Rookie Tag Game 2013.

  4. This went over like gangbusters with my two picky eaters. I followed the recipe pretty closely but used catsup in place of the tomato sauce and sugar. Also, used dry spices for the garlic and ginger. Will definitely try with fresh next time. A real crowd pleaser and definite repeater in this household. Thank you!

With the demise of the forums and with no more interaction on site with what was a great community and it was a pleasure to get to know so many of you over the years and to have had the privilege of meeting some of you in person. For me now this is just another recipe site like to many on the net, it has lost its specialness, such a pity especially when Scripps changed the name from Recipezaar to Food.com and made this statement sorry cannot replicate here as considered invalid but they basically said yes the community was valuable hence .com was short for community but it was a pack of lies as they were not willing to put the money into that community and got rid of the forums which was the community so for .com has become .crap.
