  1. This recipe is one of our favorites! It can easily feed my large family of 7 with leftovers. I cook up 16 oz. of spaghetti instead of 12 oz. and use only 1/4 cup water instead of 1 cup.

  2. Made it last Saturday and was so good. Thanks for the recipe which is definately to keep.

  3. I was just getting ready to post this recipe but it was so similiar to mine decided not to-the only difference between mine and yours is that I use 4 oz sliced mushrooms and 1/4 cup of water as opposed to 1 cup. This is a great dish. Thanks for sharing!

  4. This was so good. My 18 month old is just getting over pneumonia and wouldn't eat anything. But when I made this, she ate it all up! It made me so happy, because she is a very picky eater even when she is not sick! It was also a hit with my hubby. He went back for seconds and that is the first time I have seen him do that!

  5. Will definitely make this dish again. The only substitution I made was 1/2 # ground beef and a 1/2# of Italian sausage (johnsonville) . It definitely makes a lot of food, but my neighbors got half of it and they said it was very tasty and asked for the recipe.

Tweaks

  1. Easy to make! I was looking for a different way to make spaghetti. This was it! I omitted the olives and green pepper. Added minced garlic and used Italian seasoning instead of oregano. Leftovers cut into nice squares for lunches and individual portions for the freezer. My DH suggested that I used a thin spaghetti noodle rather than the standard the next time I make this dish. Thanks for submitting this one jean1.
