Bakinbaby's Elegant Stove Top Stuffing

"Easy and elegant made from a box, but who would have thought? I like to use the Savory herb stove top stuffing mix, but you can use any flavor you have on hand. DH and I are watching our cholesterol intake and are amazed at how low this dish is and so satisfying."

Questions & Replies

  1. I have Savory Herb and Turkey Stovetop Stuffing (one of each) that I'm thinking about combining since I need to double the recipe and they are on hand. Has anyone tried mixing 2 different stovetop stuffing flavors? TIA

  2. I just bought the ingredients to make this tomorrow for Thanksgiving ... but since it doesn't say red onions, I bought the yellow cooking onions ... now the pictures look like they used red onions. Does anyone think it'll make a difference or should we run out first thing and get red onions?

  3. Do you think I could make this the day before Thanksgiving and warm in the oven?

  1. Just finished making this for a day after Thanksgiving celebration, had everything on hand except for the cranberries. I just tasted it and think I found my forever recipe for stuffing. I have some left over roasted Brussel Sprouts might add some on top when I do the 10 minute bake before serving.

  2. This was so easy and my family loved it.We added the cranberries and it really brightened it up. I will make this again, for sure!

  3. Very good! Made plain Stove Top fancy. I made with low-sodium chicken flavored and left out the celery. The addition of the apples and craisins gives it a nice sweet flavor. I will be making this again! Made for Everyday Holiday.

  4. This was great! I usually make my own bread for stuffing, but this was a quick and easy way to make a really good stuffing. And I would suggest to add the cranberries....yum!

  5. I've made many stuffing, trying to recreate from my childhood, some came out, some didn't. This year I decided to doctor Stove Top, doctoring it up with my familiar ingredients, but couldn't find a recipe that gave me the ingredients measured by cups, then I found this one with exactly my ingredients. CAME OUT GREAT!
