  • Melt butter in sauce pan, over low heat; Cool.
  • Gradually stir in sugar, egg and vinegar.
  • Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly; Cool completely.
  • Chop apples and bananas.
  • Pour dressing over fruit and mix gently.
  • Enjoy.

  1. I tried this recipe for Thanksgiving this year and we really liked it. The only thing I noticed was that after a few hours the dressing changed in consistency so I would not suggest trying to make this salad ahead. Served fresh though it's great and I really liked the flavor of the dressing - not run of the mill and very fresh and bright tasting. Thanks!
