  1. The main reason I tried this recipe was because I had a lot of bananas to use up. The directions which say to take it out after 5 minutes are wrong and did not work at all. That was a complete waste of time. The end result was mediocre. My wife said the chocolate chips added a bitterness to it. It is an ACCEPTABLE recipe, but not a great one. At least I got to use 6 bananas...

  2. This really isn't a brownie. After reading the recipe, I was hoping for a banana flavored blondie type of cookie, but it's really not that either. What it is, is a slightly sweeter than usual banana bread / snack cake - which is fine. Just needs a new name. Easy to make, I made it in a 9x13 pan and it took a about 6 minutes longer than instructed to fully bake, but the end result was moist and tasty. I used chocolate chunks on top instead of chips, and they did not melt fully within the 5 minutes, so didn't swirl so good, but it all tasted good.

  3. These were really easy and really good, very rich and filling. The kids have loved them and it's been nice to nibble on one with coffee in the evening. Thanks for posting such a wonderful recipe.

  4. *Fantastic Brownies* ! I made them Fri in a lrg rd springfrom pan, used a wooden skewer tip to marble the melted choc chips on top at 5 min per prep & they were well-sampled when cool that nite. Then I cut them in wedge portions to chill in the fridge w/a note saying *You touch & you die* & served them as dessert w/choc ice cream for a dinner party Sat nite. W/great flavor + lovely presentation, they were a *huge* hit & I pers saw the ice cream as overkill. I admit that recent memories are always the most vivid, but cannot recall ever having had better brownies. Thx for sharing this great recipe. *Yum* ! :-)
