  • 1 cup ripe banana puree (mashed banana)
  • 1 (18 ounce) pkge.yellow cake mix (without pudding)
  • 1 (3 ounce) pkge. vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 12 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or 1 teaspoon banana extract
  • 12 cup chopped nuts
  • 12 cup mini chocolate chip
  • 13 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoon nutmeg


  1. Combine bananas, cake mix, pudding mix, oil, eggs and vanilla in large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix well and beat at medium speed for 8 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, combine nuts, chocolate chips, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  4. Pour one half cake batter into a greased and floured tube or Bundt pan.
  5. Sprinkle with one half of the sugar mixture.
  6. Cover with remaining batter. then top with remaining sugar mixture.
  7. Insert knife in batter and swirl in figure eight patterns through layers. (don't overmix).
  8. Bake at 325 degrees for 60-65 minutes.
  9. Cool in pan on wire rack 20 minutes and then invert onto rack to cool completely.
