  • 1 cup ripe banana puree (mashed banana)
  • 1 (18 ounce) pkge.yellow cake mix (without pudding)
  • 1 (3 ounce) pkge. vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 12 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or 1 teaspoon banana extract
  • 12 cup chopped nuts
  • 12 cup mini chocolate chip
  • 13 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoon nutmeg

  • Combine bananas, cake mix, pudding mix, oil, eggs and vanilla in large mixing bowl.
  • Mix well and beat at medium speed for 8 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine nuts, chocolate chips, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Pour one half cake batter into a greased and floured tube or Bundt pan.
  • Sprinkle with one half of the sugar mixture.
  • Cover with remaining batter. then top with remaining sugar mixture.
  • Insert knife in batter and swirl in figure eight patterns through layers. (don't overmix).
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 60-65 minutes.
  • Cool in pan on wire rack 20 minutes and then invert onto rack to cool completely.
