  1. I am diabetic and started out fixing my pies with this recipe minus the protein powder, but saw this recipe on my diabetes sight a while back and since then have done all my pies this way,i enjoy these pies, and doesnt raise my blood sugar, and if you didnt tell anyone the ingredients, they would think you picked it up from the bakery, absolutely delicious, and I thank you for posting, now I have it safe in my cookbook here as well as my one at home.

I have lost over 40lbs in the 1st 6 months of 2007 by following the Body for Life program of diet and exercise. I have put together 6 cookbooks to help those that are trying to get or stay fit find healthy and great tasting recipes! Always remember to use low-fat, less calorie substitutes for any recipes that list higher fat or calorie ingredents (i.e. Milk = Skim Milk, Sugar = Splenda, Butter = Smart Balance, etc.). You really dont have to give up good taste to eat better and lose weight! Enjoy!
