"This is actually a sandwich shared by cookbook author Madeline Westover years ago on a local cooking show. This sandwich is not as wacky as it sounds. Kids love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with banana slices tucked in, right? This sandwich gives the same ingredients a new form and appeal. Kids love making these, too!"

1 banana dog
ingredients
- 1 hot dog bun
- peanut butter
- 1 banana, peeled
- favorite jelly (in a squeezeable bottle)
directions
- Open the hot dog bun and spread peanut butter on one side.
- Lay the banana in the bun just as if it were a hot dog.
- Squeeze some jelly over the banana and EAT!

Who can help loving a hot dog that lacks the repulsive nitrates and ground up critters in the original, and instead gives you the benefits of healthy peanut butter and bananas?
