  1. Cream shortening and sugar together.
  2. sift dry ingredients together.
  3. add eggs, bananas and vanilla in cream mixture.
  4. add dry ingredients.
  5. Fold in the pecan pieces.
  6. pour into a greased and floured loaf pan.
  7. bake 350* for 1 hours.
  8. when done, spoon glaze over bread.
