Directions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar.
  2. Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternating with beaten egg yolks and buttermilk.
  3. Add vanilla.
  4. Add mashed bananas and pecans.
  5. Fold in beaten egg whites.
  6. Bake in large greased tube pan at 350 for about 1 1/2 hours.
