  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add the bananas to the hot butter.
  3. Let cook for about 2 minutes.
  4. Add the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Cook over medium heat until the sugar begins to caramelize, about 2 to 3 minutes. Add the vanilla.
  6. Add pecans just before serving.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature.
  8. Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
