  1. These were pretty good. My husband thought they might be a little too sweet, so next time I will probably put only 1 T of brn sugar. But they disappeared very quickly even with the complaint of too sweet. I served these on a toasted sesame seed bun with more onion and mustard and some baked onion rings. They were good. Will difinetly make them again.

  2. Since a few people thought this recipe was too sweet, I had a correction made, and adjusted the brown sugar to 1 tablespoon instead of the original 2.

  3. This made for a satisfying, quick dinner that was very easy to make. DH and I found the balance of lemon juice and brown sugar to be tasty, but likely a little less sugar wouldn't harm the dish at all. I did not use the Accent as MSG makes me dizzy; I just sprinkled a little salt in the dish. I might add chili powder next time to jazz it up, but DH and I both enjoyed this as it was, served over toasted hamburger buns. Hardly any leftovers!

  4. Sorry, I found these boring :-(. I had to add curry powder, garlic powder and Teriyaki sause before they even had a decent flavour to them. Maybe this kind of thing is an American taste, I don't know? It just needed something else.

  5. I made this recipe forever ago and totally forgot to rate it! My husband and I really enjoyed these sandwiches! I made ours with ground chicken and left out the Accent since I didn't have any. Thanks for a great recipe!

I made this account back in 2001, when the site was called "Recipezaar". A lot has changed in my life since then. My kids are all grown and I try to eat a low-carb lifestyle now. Some of my older recipes were handed down from my grandmother. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I have. Current recipes that I post will mostly be low carb or keto.
