Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 cup butter - 2 stick (cannot be margarine)
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • saltine crackers

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Line a cookie sheet with foil.
  3. Place saltine crackers closely together on cookie sheet.
  4. Melt brown sugar and butter together in a sauce pan or in the microwave.
  5. Pour sugar mixture over crackers and spread to coat.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes in preheated oven.
  7. Remove from oven.
  8. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crackers immediately.
  9. Let soften and melt, then spread.
  10. Let cool. Refrigerate until hardened.
  11. Break into bite-sized pieces like peanut brittle.
