  1. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
  2. Cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Combine the egg, milk and honey; stir into the flour mixture just until combined.
  4. Turn onto a floured surface; knead 8-10 times.
  5. Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a floured 2-1/2 inch biscuit cutter (I use a large glass).
  6. Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake @ 425 F for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm.
