"This is a nice simple dish to make, the combo of red wine & salsa gives a nice smoky flavour and the meat turns out nice & tender. Recipe from Masterfoods."

  1. Used all the ingredients listed except I added some parmesan cheese, and shredded cheese too. Definately scarfed down down by the kids. Have to agree this is a mans neal. Well enjoted. Made for Recipe Swap 33.

  2. This is one of the easiest, yummiest recipes I have made in ages. This is a total man's meal, real meaty which my men love. I made this about a week ago and the photos came out horrible and didn't do it justice at all. When my DH and DS found out I was making this again tonight they were both very excited. My DS hoped the photos wouldn't work out again so it could be made again soon. Well maybe not as soon as last time but this will definitely be enjoyed again and again. I made as is except for adding some Mexican seasoning to the mix. I served ours topped with sour cream and cheese. This is a super recipe Mandy, so easy and totally delicious!! :)

  3. What a lovely dinner. I used all the ingredients except the olive oil & put it all into the crockpot, cooking on high for 8 hours (my crockpot runs slow). At the end I added a quarter cup of cornstarch with water. Next time I may add a little Mexican Chili Powder, but otherwise it was wonderful. Served with some grated cheese & toast. Will definitely make this again. Thanks Mandy for this winner.

Melbourne I live on a 5 acre property in the Dandenong Ranges Victoria, Australia, having moved from the burbs when I became pregnant with my now 15 year old daughter Alyssa. Once my daughter was born I became a stay at home mum as I couldn't bear the thought of putting her in daycare. She is the light of my life, I never imagined myself as a mum when younger but now wouldn't have it any other way. Alyssa was made a big sister on the 19th April 2010 when our cheeky little boy Blake was born. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes so quickly become addicted to Zaar as it was previously known & still use it regularly. In addition to being my kids taxi  I also spend my time, reading, gardening and of course shopping. I'm lucky enough that we have the space & so love growing our own fruits, vegies & herbs, this also means we have plenty of room for animals & at the moment have 2 dogs, Max, a Jackshund who's 6, Fletcher, a Kelpie who's 4, 6 cats Snowpea, Fergus, Ginger, Tango, Annie & Cookie, 4 chooks & 2 Ducks. As well as our pets, we also have a lot of native animals around our area, we have kangaroos, wombats, echidna's, possums as well as rosella's, galah's & Cockatoo's hence the name of where I live..
