ingredients

1 cup water
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons sugar
1 ¹⁄₂ teaspoons salt
¹⁄₂ cup oatmeal
¹⁄₄ cup wheat bran
2 tablespoons wheat germ
1 tablespoon vital wheat gluten
2 cups bread flour
¹⁄₂ cup whole wheat flour
2 ¹⁄₄ teaspoons active dry yeast

directions

Add ingredients into the bread machine in the order listed. Set to dough cycle. My machine takes 1 hr 50 minutes. When dough cycle is finished, shape as desired and allow to rise until double in size. Bake approximately 20-30 minutes until the top starts to brown and it sounds hollow when you tap it. Brush top with butter if desired. Makes a nice sandwich bread.

Good bread - the dough seemed a bit stiff when finished mixing, and I wondered if there could have been a bit more liquid in it It had good flavour, but was a little dry. Made for PAC Spring '09.
