Beef and Tomato Couscous

"I never had couscous before i tried this but I really like it. Its a good recipe for home or good for backpacking/camping. I found this in backpacker magazine."

  • Shred Jerky in a blender.
  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl (or a bag if you are hitting the trail) except water, Ghee, and Couscous.
  • Bring Water and Ghee to a boil in a med saucepan.
  • Mix in all ingredients from bowl (or bag) into the boiling water.
  • Boil 8-10min.
  • Stir in Couscous, cover and remove from heat.
  • Wait 5 min, toss, and serve. Makes about 6 cups.
