Directions

  1. Toss beef with flour in a shallow baking pan, sprayed with non -stick cooking spray.
  2. Bake at 350F, stirring occasionally, about 25 minutes.
  3. Heat onion, garlic, mushrooms, 1/4 c beef broth, and oil to boiling in a large Dutch oven.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer until onion is tender, about 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in remaining 3/4 cup broth and all 6 remaining ingredients except salt and pepper.
  6. Heat to boiling.
  7. Place Dutch oven, in the oven and bake, covered, until beef is tender, about 45 minutes.
  8. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
