  • Dredge meat in seasoned flour.
  • Brown in oil- 6 minutes.
  • Add onions, garlic, and mushrooms.
  • Cook for 4 minutes.
  • Add gravy.
  • Add basil.
  • Cook over low heat for 50 minutes.
  • Add claret.
  • Serve over hot rice.

  1. Made for PAC Spring 2007. Delicious! The mushrooms of choice were portabellos and regular button. I did alter the cooking instructions a bit though. I had some time on my hands, so I prepared the recipe as stated, but put it in the oven for approx. 2 1/2 hrs. at 350 degrees. Came out wonderfully tender and rich tasting. :)
