  1. This was alright! A little dry. Had to put homemade salsa on top. I think if you put refried beans on the bottom it would be better. Kinda like an open face torta. I was thinking of putting spagehtii sauce and mozzerella on top. Next time I will try it like that. I did add mushrooms to mine. So my daughter actually ate purple onion, green pepper, and mushrooms. She didn't even know it till I told her.

  2. Easy and quick for very hungry people. Made for PAC Fall 2011

  3. quick, easy and so yummy. I used french hoagie buns instead of loaf of french bread as it made it individual portions. at least it did for me if you only eat a half. I used 1/4 lb ground beef added quartered pepperoni and cooked as directed at end I put on slices of tomato. Oh so yummy

  4. My entire family loves this. I saw this in Taste of Home a long time ago and have been making it since. This is a delicious and fast meal that everyone is sure to love. I do not use olives or green peppers since my family does not like them. I also use wheat bulgur in my beef sometimes to extend the topping. Very filling.

  5. I just bought a new Taste of Home impulse buy cookbook at the check out stand and this recipe was in it. THis is a great recipe! My whole family loved it and I htink you could change it lots of ways to "mix it up". Yummy and decently easy.

  1. Really good! I did use salsa verde and a red pepper instead of green and I also carmelized my onions a bit since I like them that way. We will be making this again for sure! It's SO EASY and YUMMY!!! Thanks so much!!
