Directions

  1. Split the loaf of bread lengthwise and toast lightly.
  2. Brown the hamburger, drain off fat.
  3. Add the garlic and onion and saute slightly.
  4. Reserve 2 Tbsp of the soup and add the rest, with the oregano, basil, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce, to the hamburger mixture.
  5. Heat through.
  6. Top bread with the meat mixture and brush remaining soup on top.
  7. Top with the sliced mushrooms and cheese.
  8. Broil or bake at 450°F until cheese is bubbly.
  9. Slice the bread into sections and serve.
