We really enjoyed this comforting meal. I really appreciated that I could toss everything into the crockpot in the morning and forget about it until dinner time! I like a thicker gravy with my beef stew, so I pulled some off into a separate pan and thickened it up with a flour/water combination. FYI-your recipe calls for 2 envelopes, 16 oz each, of beef stew spice mix. The packages I bought were 1.5 oz. each. Thanks so much for posting. We enjoyed it! Made for Pick A Chef Fall 2011
